The game is set 5 years after the events of Pokemon Colosseum with the introduction of Michael, the main protagonist who meets Professor Krane. He acquaints the concept of Shadow Pokemon, which are those Pokemon whose hearts have been closed artificially and they have become aggressive toward humans.
Criminal Team Cipher is trying to use these Pokemons for their dark purposes, with the power of a certain Legendary Pokemon on their side. Krane also introduces Snag machine, which is used to capture special Shadow Pokemon from other trainers and to purify them to have full access to their moves. After this, Krane is kidnapped by the Team cipher agents and Michael goes to save Krane from them and to defeat crime syndicate Cipher. Meanwhile, Michael meets Mirror B who is former Cipher admin who has now become a thief.
Gale of Darkness also introduces a new purification chamber that makes the whole purification process much easier and faster, even if the Pokemon is not in their party. Speed of producing Shadow Pokemons is doubled by the Team cipher as compared to five years ago. Game ends when the player fights the leader of Cipher where he may catch new Pokemon Dark Luiga. On the whole, Gale of Darkness is a fun and entertainment package but it has been criticized for having a large amount of recycled material from Pokemon Colosseum like recycled graphics and a modified engine from Colosseum nds rom.
GameCube - Pokemon Colosseum. How much do you care about the weight of your console? Probably not much if it is just right. The GameCube tips the scales at just 3 pounds, just heavy enough for you to notice when it is in your hand, no more. However, this could also be a bit of a let-down for some gamers since it can come across as a bit fragile.
Also, the buttons have a rather unusual arrangement. That said, there are some rather more pressing details about it that make it a great console. Certainly no weakling then.
